Trou aux Cerfs – a dormant volcano in Mauritius just above Curepipe. It’s cooler up there compared to Port Louis about 30kms away. It could become active – experts estimate – in the next thousand years. It’s a tourist attraction, one most tourists get to while visiting the island.
Quatres Bornes is a town in Mauritius located on the west side of the island and linking east, north, south, and west. You will drive through Quatres Bornes on your way from the airport to the tourist centres of Flic en Flac, Port Louis, and Grand Baie in the north.
The suburb of Ebene (Cyber City) is located within its confines – a mecca for tech, call centres, and other outsourced services housed on the island. In addition to the rich and sophisticated banking sector, Mauritius has a thriving knowledge economy located here.
