Well hello there, and come on into this week’s Weekend Coffee Share hosted by Natalie The Explorer. To drink, there is espresso, cappuccino, latte, iced coffee and a host of teas.
A missed date
You may be wondering why I missed our coffee date last week. I did some load shedding complaining on Monday – in a nutshell after our scheduled load shedding slot (warning: don’t say this sentence aloud when hyper on coffee or wine) the neighbourhood experienced a fault in the electrical supply. So … no power for most of the weekend. With limited battery capacity, I prioritised the freezer and made the best use of my time by giving the kitchen a top to bottom clean.
We had a similar fault at about the same time last year. Then, the power was off for 4 days. I was away on business in Mauritius so Chè had to contend with it all on his own. He was down to charging his cell phone in the car with the engine running to keep in touch with me. And we almost lost the contents of the fridge and freezer. Luckily, so it seems, we have a quality appliance that kept the temperature cool enough.
Blogging activity
On the work front, I wasn’t too busy; things are still powering up. I hope this year will improve so that my salary can go back up to 100%.
On Tuesday I did a writing update, courtesy of Grammarly. I use its free version in spite of many invitations to pay for it to unlock more features 🙂 . Do you use Grammarly? What do you think of it?
I broke my writing streak last weekend so I imagine that WordPress must be very disappointed with me.
Anywhooo! Enough of that. How was your week? Did you have a good one?
I used Grammarly in graduate school — I bought the Premium version for those two years — it was well worth it!
I should try it for a bit. I’m glad you mentioned this because I don’t know of anyone who has used it.
Regina, Glad to hear you have your power back and to see you at this week’s Coffee Share. I’ve heard about Grammarly but don’t use it. Have a great week ahead!
Natalie recently posted…Coffee Share #3 | The Princes’ Gates
Thanks so much, Natalie! It’s good to be back 🙂
Have a wonderful week.
Thank you for the coffee and am glad you have power again. You had a great blogging streak, I’ve never posted every day before but am a bit busy to try. I’ve not used Grammerly, I’d have to look it up as not sure what it is, another blogger place? (I’m not always up on the latest things!) Haha, thanks and have a great week ahead! ❤️
Hi there! Grammarly is an app/website that helps with English grammar and punctuation. I use it in my work, and it helps when I blog too 🙂 – it’s kinda cool.
Have a great week too 🙂
I’ll have to check it out!! Thank you!
