For many years mine was the voice that greeted clients to the call centre of a major South African bank.

I worked for this bank at the time; they wanted to save money; I was curious and flattered when they asked to use my voice. I never made any money out of the assignment but I did score some flowers and movie vouchers.

If my blog was to be made into an audiobook I would want ME to be the narrator! It would be a lot cheaper and definitely authentic. I do rather a good job of reading prose and poetry out loud – narrating my own blog is the logical thing to do.

So many authors narrate their own books on Audible. And they don’t sound half as good as me!
