Of course, finding something to write about is not all that easy. My day to day life is not the stuff of reality TV shows or Instagram influencer accounts. On the search for inspiration, I came across this site from where I got the idea for today’s post.

The random fact about myself is …

I was born in Mozambique and had Mozambican nationality but we had to let this go in 1974.

In 1974 my folks came to South Africa and chose Portuguese citizenship for us. (I may not be Mozambican but each time I visit, I feel a pull – the pull of one’s country of birth.)

In 1984, I became a South African citizen giving me dual citizenship of both Portugal and South Africa. With permission from both countries of course.

So there you have it. I am proudly South African (Go Bokke!) and proudly Portuguese (Força Portugal).
