The south of Joburg has officially come online!

Long pilloried by the fancy people living due north of the Joburg CBD it now has another reason for those northerners seeking a bit of adventure to come slumming.

We now have our very own coffee roastery!

We just missed their Christmas blend but the one we had today was so full bodied and aromatic that it was like tasting heaven. We have a packet of beans to try tonight.

The proprietors are friendly and eager to talk about coffee. The food is freshly prepared, with interesting items on the menu like the vegetarian burger, chicken and avocado ciabatta and the wonderfully alliterated brie and basil sandwich.
