A-Z Challenge Theme Change

Hello all,

I’ve decided to change my theme for the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. I confess to having bitten more than I can chew.

The topic is one which I love, and it was whilst doing my research to write the posts that I found that I wouldn’t be able to do it justice with the little time I have each day to write.

I last posted on this theme a week ago and in all likelihood have been taken off the blogger’s roll for the challenge. I’m not discouraged though because I’m going to continue with the A to Z challenge on this blog for the month of April, with a new theme!

With regards to the History Of Portugal theme – I want to write interesting pieces with accurate historical facts. I have hence decided that I will continue fleshing out this theme and turn it into a regular series on this blog.

To that end I’ve created a top-level menu item called History Of Portugal to which I’ll be adding on a monthly basis.

I have written 2 posts already:

The Battle of Aljubarrota

The Baker of Aljubarrota

To those who expressed interest in this theme – I hope you’ll continue to come on by for this, and I hope, for the new theme – Penning with Photos.

This new theme is easy for me to write on, and flexing and stretching my writing muscles is what this challenge is all about right? Photography is my favourite communication medium and I’ll combine this with my second favourite medium – story telling.

I have loads of photos which I regularly go through and each one brings up a memory of a wonderful holiday, travel experience or just an arb thing. It’s the stories that enliven a photo and I have a fair amount of those.

A friend once responded to my question of whether we should plan out our days while travelling in India or not, “No, let’s plan only a little bit, because it’s the unexpected encounters and the empty paths that are going to make this a trip to remember.” For a control freak like me this was a scary concept to get my head around – until these words turned out to be true.

And with this, I shall end off here now by saying 1 thing:

I have loads of catching to do up this weekend 🙂

Yours sincerely,

Regina
