Interesting post. I have also recently renewed my South AFrican passport. It was an interesting experienced and there were three queues. The collection was also most extraordinary as there doesn’t seem to be much of a system for organising the documents to be collected. It took the chap who helped us (nice helpful guy) 20 minutes to find our passports – not his fault as it seems to be chaos in the storage area.
Oh dear, as I suspected – 3 queues. It makes the online process of the filling out of the form a waste of time.
