I had an interesting experience today.
I visited a site that I’d been to many times before. I expected it to look and feel the same way as it always has.
I kept clicking on the link I wanted which took me to a page that I’d never been to before. Or so I thought.
When I didn’t land on the page I recognised I kept on clicking the same link which took me to the same page I didn’t recognise. Over and over again, until a ray of realisation hit my befuddled brain which led me to actually stop and look at the page – and find that it had the info I wanted. The same info I’d relied on so many times before. The page just looked different!
How often do we do this with people. We form certain expectations which governs our behaviour towards them. One day something is different but we can’t put our finger on it. We keep on pressing the same buttons which no longer work.
Much to our dismay.
Because they’ve changed and we just haven’t realised it.
How many times have I done this very thing? Given my age, too many times.
Thanks for stopping by and following my photo and travel blog. I am adding your blog address to my reader so I can keep up with your site as well.
