Wednesday Windows 6: Beach Lodge

The Beach Lodge in Swakopmund in Namibia is built to resemble a ship, wrecked on the narrow strip of beach, in between the Atlantic ocean and the Namib desert. The windows are large and shaped like portholes. The view is fabulous. While I was there I did not close the curtains even once, and I stared at the ocean for many hours. Very soulful.

#WednesdayWindows 4: Quirky

I accompanied my niece to her horse riding lesson on Saturday. The stables are large and have many quirky places and interesting things to photograph. This beautiful horse was just too curious about what I was doing outside his window and he came to investigate – and ended up in my photo.

More about #WednesdayWindows:

A month ago I hit a middle-of-the-week-creativity-slump - and #WednesdayWindows was born.

I will be posting a photo of windows (the ones you look out of, not the ones that are prefixed by the word “Microsoft”) every Wednesday. I seem to take a lot of them wherever I go, so it must count as a fascination or maybe just plain obsession.

As you can see this is by no means a professionally run weekly feature or challenge. I’m doing it to indulge my fascination, so if you have one too, please do join.

You are welcome to join in the feature – there is no theme other than “windows”. If you do join leave the link to your post in the comments below.
