Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge

Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge – June 22, 2018

It’s been a while since I’ve participated in this challenge, which also happens to be my favourite of Cee’s challenges. Let’s see where Which Way is taking us today.

A grueling ferry trip across a short expanse of sea and we’re in Catembe in Maputo. The last time I was there the ferry was packed with cars, trucks, lorries, and people. A bit too crowded for me, but the day we spent in Catembe was soulful and memorable.

Namibia is one of my favourite places on earth, and Swakopmund my happy place when I’m there. At the bottom end of town next to the lighthouse is a craft and curio market. Swakopmund has tar roads but the vast majority are salt roadways, like this one.

Musical steps at a restaurant in Joburg, they didn’t play music, but I suspect that those are song lyrics on them.

Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge – September 28, 2016

In Cee’s words this challenge is about:

This challenge is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, steps, etc. we move from one place to another on.  You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride on them, as long as the specific way is visible.  Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs.

I have opted for the urban ‘which ways’ this week, and a store sign – they also count.

Scroll to enjoy the selection.

A store sign – the drought is taking its toll on the supply of blemish-free fruits and vegetable. I, for one, don’t mind.

Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Two

So happy to have been chosen as one of the featured bloggers with this post. Read on…

The theme today is “two” wonderful people! As Cee says:

Two different things or the number two.  I am looking for opposites or two totally unrelated subjects.  Or you can take it the easy way out and simply use the number 2.

I’m taking the easy way.

And finally, two footprints. Or is it one? As in one pair of footprints? I’ll go with two, as in two different feet made them.

I’ve entered these in Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge this week, the theme of which is Two different things or the number two. Click on the link to see Cee’s and other blogger’s offerings this week.

PS: I soooo excited, The Blacklist is baaaaaaack tonight :-)! It’s time to #FindLiz. #Sheisalive after all!

Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge – September 21, 2016

Even though I am a sometimes-participant, I love this challenge. As described by Cee:

This challenge is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, steps, etc. we move from one place to another on.  You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride on them, as long as the specific way is visible.  Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs.

I didn’t have to think too hard about which photos to show. During my trip to Sagres in April I came across a lovely rocky path to take me down to the beach.

I followed it only to be dismayed that it ended, dangerously, on a precipice, the stone steps having eroded away and never repaired.

The warning sign said the usual beware and go at your own risk stuff. It should’ve said DO NOT PROCEED AS YOUR MAY FALL AND CRITICALLY INJURE YOURSELF, IF NOT WORSE.

Gobsmacked, I took these photos on my back up the path in case I needed them as proof…

The path ended here…even though there are stairs in the background.

It was a beautiful beach, so near and yet so far…

This crazy broken path notwithstanding, my trip to Sagres was wonderful!

Cee’s Which Way Challenge – August 3, 2016

I haven’t entered Cee’s Which Way Challenge in a while. I thought it would be good to give it a go again. Hopefully my photography skills have improved. There are such amazing entries in all of Cee’s challenges, and Cee herself is an exceptionally talented photographer.

The Which Way photo challenge was always my favourite and I love it that it is back again. It’s probably been back for a while but I’ve only just noticed it…

I’m in Lisbon at the moment and these are pics taken in the last few days. The unique pavements of Lisbon, and the little archways framing the narrow roads are some of the photos I’ve taken.
